Ms. Rose

Ms. Rose's passion for culinary arts started in her early childhood. When she was little, she cooked with her mom and help her grandmother prepare food for holidays. Even in High school, Ms. Rose took various cooking classes.

She worked in several different kinds of businesses before she realized that she enjoyed teaching the most. Ms. Rose majored in foods in college and always liked high school students. So naturally being a culinary teacher at a high school was the perfect profession for her.

Before coming to El Molino, Ms. Rose taught at la Paloma High School in Los Angeles, then at John F. Kennedy High School in Sacramento. She has been teaching at El Molino for nine years. This year she is teaching Foods & Nutrition in 5th and 7th period, Baking & Pastries in 2nd, and Culinary Arts in 4th. Ms. Rose's favorite food is pasta prepared with fresh tomatoes and camprus. "Chef John Ash once told me 'People are like good grapes and good tomatoes. The harder they struggle, the better the character'. I believe this is true!" (Ms. Rose)
