APRIL
American Nuclear Society: 4 $1,000 to students pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or have the intent to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering. Applications available at: www.new.ans.org/honors/scholarships/. Must be postmarked by April 1.
Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund: $500 award to a student who promotes the principles of non-violence, peace, justice, and understanding; must be enrolling at an accredited school or college, public or private, leading to an academic degree or certificate. Essay required. Applications are available in the College & Career Center. Due April 1.
California Wine Grape Growers Foundation: 4 $2,000 per year for 4 years at any CSU or UC and 4 $500 per year awards to a student going to a community college. Must be children of workers employed by wine grape growers. Must demonstrate scholastic ability, financial need, community involvement. Applications at www.cwggf.org. Postmarked by April 2.
P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter LZ: $1,200 award to a female with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and is planning on attending Santa Rosa Junior College, can demonstrate financial need, leadership and extra curricular activities. Applications available in the College and Career Center. Deadline is April 2.
American Iris Society: $500 award to student demonstrating interest in iris activities or pursuing a career in horticulture, floriculture, landscaping, nursery production or related fields. Application available in the College & Career Center. Postmarked by April 6.
CASCWA, California Association of Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance: $500 award to student who has overcome unique obstacles and difficulties. Grades, letter of recommendation and personal statement. Applications available in the College & Career Center. Must be postmarked by April 6.
Sonoma County Farm Bureau Scholarships- 16 separate scholarships offering $500-$3,000. Students who have or will have a major in Agriculture or an Agriculture-related field with a minimum GPA of 2.5. School and community activities, academic record and financial need will be considered. Applications available at www.sonomafb.org/Ag+Education/Scholarships.htm. Due April 14.
Vietnam Veterans of America: 1 or 2 $1,000 award to a student with one parent who is a veteran who served between January 1, 1961 & May 7th 1975 with at least a C average. Applications available in the College & Career Center. Must be received by April 15.
Young Cancer Survivor Scholarship: up to $7,500 per year to students planning on attending a 2 or 4-year university who is a cancer survivor diagnosed before the age of 18 who can demonstrate financial need and a minimum GPA of 2.5 and has community service, determination. Men’s Garden Club of Santa Rosa Scholarship: numerous awards $500- $1,000 to students enrolling in a course in agriculture, landscape architecture, forestry, floriculture, pomology, viticulture, soil science, entomology. Application available in the College & Career Center. Received by April 20
El Molino High School Foundation “Giving Back” Community Service Scholarship: 2 $500 scholarships to students attending a JC, vocational or 4-year university who has given back to the El Molino community by community service or in the community. Applications are available in the College & Career Center. Must be received by April 23.
Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon Scholarship for the Arts: 3 $10,000 awards, one in each of the following categories: Voice, Acting and Dance to a student pursuing an education in the performing arts. Entries will be judged by a panel of performing arts professionals and experts. Finalists will perform live at Club Fugazi in San Francisco. Wine Road Northern Sonoma County Scholarship- 3 $1,000 per year awards to students attending a 4 year university or going to a community college. Must be children of workers employed by wine grape growers or a lodging member of the Wine Road. Applications are available in the College & Career Center. Postmarked by April 30.
American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation: numerous awards from $500 to $1,500 to students majoring in Hospitality Management. Applications are available at https://scholarships.ahlef.org/. Deadline is April 30
Latinos Unidos del Condado de Sonoma: various awards to Latino students with financial need. You DO NOT have to be a citizen. Applications are available in the College & Career Center. Must be postmarked by April 30.
The Hispanic Engineers National Achievement Awards Conference, HENAAC: $500 - $8,500 awards to Hispanic students majoring in engineering, applied science, computer science and math students. Application is available online at www.greatmindsinstem.org/henaac/scholars/.

MAY
Russian River Nuns of the Above Scholarship: 1 $1,000 and 3 $650 awards to students who show high potential regardless of GPA. The Russian River Sisters are far more concerned with providing assistance to students who will take their education forward in a positive and enlightened manner and work for equality in the community including all in the LGBT community and will strive to put an end to bullying. We lovingly dedicate the Nuns of the Above Scholarships to the memories of the transitioned members of our order. Animation Career Review "Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship: 3 $1,000 awards to students majoring in animation or a related field. Have a demonstrable record of academic success and have a passion and drive for an animation and/or design related career. An essay is required. Empire Runners of Sonoma County Student Grants-At $500 grant to at least one graduating male and one graduating female who have participated for a min. one year on a track and/or cross country team. Applicants must attend college and run on the track/cross country team at school. Applications are available at www.empirerunners.org. Deadline is May 4th.
Vietnam Veterans Group of San Quentin Scholarship-1 $1,500 and 1 $1,000 award to student with parent or guardian who served or is serving as member of Armed Forces under honorable conditions. Applications available in the College & Career Center. Must be received by May 8.
Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship: 2 $1,000 awards and 8 $500 awards to students whose parent or legal guardian is currently employed full time, or if retired or deceased, must have been employed full-time by a government entity.(i.e. peace officer, firefighters, educators, postal employees, military personnel and federal, state and local government workers). With a minimum GPA of 3.0, planning to attend a 2 or 4-year school. Applications available at www.CSEinsurance.com/scholarship.htm then go to about us and youth scholarship. Must be received by May 11.
The National Association of Multicultural Engineeers (NAMEPA) : $1,000 awards to minority students majoring in engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.70 and minimum ACT?SAT score of 25/1000. Applications are available at www.namepa.org. Must be received by May 26.
JUNE
The Big Dig Scholarship: various $3,000 awards to high school seniors who will be entering their first year of college and are a resident of the US. You must submit an essay between 500 and 1000 words that answers the following issue: "In 200 years, one of your relatives is going to be digging in what is now your backyard. They are going to find something that you buried in 2010 and it is going to put any financial worries they have to rest. Your job today is to decide what to bury. Great Clips Cosmetology School Scholarships: Current students, high school students and anyone interested in cosmetology or barbering as a career can apply for a scholarship through the Alice Madden Barton Scholarship program. These scholarships can be used at any cosmetology or barbering school. Applications available at www.greatclips.com/stylists/scholarship-program. given out 2 times a year, deadlines December 31 and June 30.
JULY
National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF): $2,500 awards to students who will be enrolled in an accredited restaurant or foodservice program. Applications Available at www.nraef.org/scholarships Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. Must be postmarked by July 25.
